HISTORY
In the heart of Bread for Life International is the compassion and love for the poorest of the poor, and especially those lacking food to make it through the day. The organization started out of a heart to help these people, but where we realized that not even the most well-meaning aid organization will ever be able to solve this. We can help people with food, necessities, schooling, work and healthcare, but we will never be able to meet all their needs nor be there in all situations. People need something bigger to stand on when times get tough; an anchor of the soul to hold on to - something that really bear weights.

We believe God is that rock that every person needs, and we believe that all the promises He has spoken through his Word - the Bible - we are able to trust and stand safely on. And if His Word is true, it has to be applicable no matter what country, background, financial or social prerequisite a person has.

That's why we want to teach people to count on God, and discover how good and faithful He is. That people can always turn to Him, no matter the situation or prerequisite, and trust that He loves them and is their true hope. That all we need is in Him; solutions as well as blessings.
Vision
That all children in the world, with focus on children in low-income countries, shall have enough food to survive and prevent undernourishment.

People shall start trusting God as their real hope and provider and start leaning on His promises.

People shall understand their true identity in Christ and start living in it.
